A low nutrient level is key to a healthy, algae-free marine aquarium. The most successful reef aquariums utilize a growth area filled with macroalgae for nutrient control.
The GRO is a specialized 20W LED light designed to grow many types of common macroalgae (including Chaetomorpha) using a specialized light spectrum that maximizes photosynthesis. The GRO uses all its power to emit light at two specific wavelengths optimized for macroalgae growth—455-460nm and 620-670nm. Combined with its rectangular shape, this means that the right light goes where you need it and minimizes unwanted algae growth in other areas of your sump.
The light connects directly to any available DC24 port in your Apex ecosystem but can also be used fully standalone with a power adapter.

Excellent product, fitted in seconds swan neck fitting allows adjustment for size of refugeium thus limiting light overspill into rest of sump
